A thrift-shop record, a borrowed camper van and a ring tied to a daisy. Drop the needle and we will tell you the rest.

Two hands reached for the last copy of the same old record in a Silver Lake thrift shop. Jesse let Margot have it; she let him come over to listen.
A borrowed camper van, a flat tire outside Barstow and three days late to the Grand Canyon. We would do it all again.
Under a sky full of stars in Joshua Tree, Jesse popped the question with a ring tied to a daisy.
Recorded live at Sundown Ranch, with all of you singing along.

Sundown Ranch, Joshua Tree: twenty acres of boulders, Joshua trees and big sky. Here is how the day rolls.

Among the Joshua trees, short and sweet. Grab a fan and a lemonade on your way in.

Palomas, champagne and lawn games while the light turns gold.

Family-style tacos under the string lights. Speeches, then dessert.

Wavy frosting, one slow song, then everybody up.

The mirror ball comes down and the dance floor opens. Requests welcome.

Sparklers out front, then the yellow school bus back to the motels.

Flares, florals, crochet, a wide collar: whatever makes you feel groovy. Bright colours very welcome; it cools fast after sunset, so bring a jacket.
The ground is sand and gravel. Boots, block heels and sneakers all welcome on the dance floor.
The friends and family keeping us calm, fed and on time.

Joshua Tree is two and a half hours from Los Angeles and a world away. Here is how to get to the ranch, and where to crash.
Palm Springs (PSP) is 50 minutes away. LAX and Ontario are about two and a half hours, traffic willing.
Take Highway 62 to Joshua Tree and fill up in Yucca Valley: the ranch is down a mile of friendly dirt road.
Our yellow school bus loops between the motels and the ranch from 3:30pm, and back from 10pm.
Three spots we love, all within fifteen minutes of the ranch. Mention Reyes-Colton for our rate.
Our room block: a pink-doored 1950s motor court with a pool and a neon sign. Book by February 1.
A historic adobe hacienda with a pool, ten minutes from the ranch.
Five vintage trailers under the stars, for the adventurous. Bring a flashlight.

Let us know by March 1, and tell us about any allergies or song requests.
April days are about 80°F and nights drop to 50°F. Sunscreen by day, a jacket by night.
Little ones are welcome at the ceremony and dinner; the dance floor is grown-ups only after nine.
Patchy at best. Download your maps before you leave Yucca Valley.
If your invitation says "and guest", bring your favorite person.
Unplugged ceremony, please. After that, snap away and tag #FarOutColtons.

Your presence is the present. If you would like to give something anyway, we are saving for a road trip down Baja in our (very) old van.
